Can some one tell me how to lower cholesterol naturally?!? (Answers: 7) (Comments: 0)

well my moms doctor said her cholesterol was 275 and gave her a stat in,but I think she can do something more safer then taking that worthless stuff! I read that Vita,c and e and omega 3 was good and mangosteen too,so how much of those supplemnts (mgs) would be appropriate? also is apple cider vinegar good too? well her doctor is so dumb he probably didn't tell her any thing about ratios of good and bad cholesterol! >:/ now that I think about it I have been telling her to try allot of supplement from this really good health food store we go to,so maybe all of the supplements raised her good cholesterol instead!

a cardiologist is insisting my husband take lipitor. he is adamant that he does not want to take any drugs as we both believe they are not healthy ways to live. his cholesterol is a bit high, and he is 57. does anyone know any books, doctors or other info about how to lower cholesterol naturally? any cardiologists in orange county california or nearby who also do not believe in statin drugs because of the dire side effects?
