Low carb diet side effects? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)

Has anyone ever heard of or experienced side effects from low carb diets. I am having a hard time researching this on the internet. Basically I became very sick and had food sensitivities to wheat, gluten and sugar. I had to go low carb essentially. I felt better, but now my fingers shake and I get muscle twitches all day. Its not like parkinsons but if I move my fingers they will keep shaking. Anyone with info would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

I was put on a gluten free diet on thursday and was given multi vitamins and anxiety pills to take as well. Ever since I was put on this diet I have been feeling much better and not as sick all the time, but I have been getting a lot of diarrhea. Is this normal? I think it might be worse today because I have eaten a lot of sugar and I usually get diarrhea after that. Sorry, just need to know

Fruitarian diet side effects? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)

Hi, I am in the process of reducing my weight and the only diet I found that works is the fruitarian diet (only fruit). I alternate this diet (weekly) with other calorie controlled diets and loose up to 3kg per week when on the diet. I have already lost 15kg and still have 8 kg to go. However, it seems my body is now rebelling. For the first time I am getting major stomach cramps (hours after a meal) which does not seem to go away with medicine (I am taking Buscopan 10mg X2). I was told it is the milk I drink in my coffee (I know .... This is my only allowance and it does not seem to keep me from losing weight, so I still have my coffee). However the cramps comes long after I had my coffee. Any idea how to keep the cramps from getting too much and still stay on the diet?

As part of a New year's resolution i have been on a new healthy eating and exercise plan. For the first few days i had a terrible headache. This has happened to me before last time i went on a healthy eating spree, and i assume it was because i had suddenly cut out all the sugar from my diet. This time i'm really serious about it and want to stick it out. However, i seem to be waking up every morning at about 5am with an intense need to go to the toilet, cause i'm drinking loads more water than i used to, and i've had quite bad diarrhoea for the last week. I'm doing about 45 minutes of exercise a day. I must be doing something wrong??? Is this normal?? Will these nasty things last?? I'm currently eating approx. 1,400 calories a day and i'm trying to incorporate lean meat, dairy, vegetables, fruit, and pasta/cereals into my diet in a balanced way.

I'm not fat or too skinny just the average...I'm not doing any specific diet but I'm just trying to cut down on my carbs so i eat 1 bread in the morning half the rice i eat during lunch and dinner and I eat fruits and drink more than 8 glasses of water. I do cardio[jump rope] for 10 min for 5 days now to burn the thin layer of fat on my stomach...But now I feel like i'm starving my-self. Should I eat crackers to fill my starved feeling? Will this have a reverse effect instead of loosing weight i'll gain?
