I am also on a pretty extensive lifting program. My problem is that I am actually starting to gain weight (in muscle I hope) because I have not changed a thing. I can tell that I am definitely getting stronger and I am seeing muscles that I never had. I didn't really want to get big though. I was looking to get more lean than anything and it the opposite. Any advice?

I HAVE BEEN ON A HIGH PROTEIN DIET FOR 3 MoNTHS & I WANT TIGHT ABS? (Answers: 1) (Comments: 0)

I have been on a high protein diet for about 3 months,with minimal carbs intake, i do get fatigued and easily tired but my body is getting used to the foods , this year alone i have lost 1 stone and 5Ibs -through healthy eating and 5 day vigorous gym training of bodypump, uphill incline interval running, abs class, pilates, stretch and high intensity cardio class and resistance/circuit class My problem area is my abs - top and lower abs are still not toned -what do I need to do to get prominient abs, I would like to hear from weightlifters and or personal trainers or people who know how to get results - QUICK

I hear high protein diets arent so good for the body. I only want to do it for a couple of months. I will also be doing atleast an hour of interval training a day. What risks are associated with high protein diets. Is it possible for me to not eat any carbs except whats in vegetables and live on seafood, salads, shakes, eggs etc? Will I get sick without carbs like rice, bread, grains etc for that amount of time? Are they absolutely essential? I hear I will drop the weight quick if I do this a couple of months and slowly introduce a small amount of carbs back in my diet. What other foods are non carb protein rich?
